Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What foods should I avoid while wearing a temporary?
A: Temporary crowns and fillings are constructed to come out. Please refrain from both hard and sticky foods. The temporary crown is a resin based plastic and although it is made from durable components, it can break. The temporary cement is intended to hold the crown in place for only a short time. Chewing gum and sticky foods can pull it off.
Q: How long should I wait to eat or drink after having anesthetic?
A: Anesthetic typically lasts for about 90 minutes. Though you can eat right away you’ll need to refrain from anything hot so as not to burn your mouth. You’ll also run the risk of biting your tongue if it’s numb.
Q: How much discomfort can I expect after my procedure?
A: Everyone’s tolerance level is different, however most procedures in this office cause no to little discomfort. Perhaps the site of the injection may present some stiffness.
Q: Do you accept insurance?
A: Though we are not participating providers with any insurance companies we gladly provide you with a completed universal claim form for you to submit to your carrier for reimbursement.

restorations where indicated. We are very experienced in cosmetic procedures.
